BIO

Holly Jones is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice integrates mixed media installation, textile-based soft sculpture, and ceramics. She holds a BA in Art and Psychology from the University of Reading (2023) and an MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London (2025).

Rooted in materiality and transformation, Jones’ work engages with the tension between the organic and the synthetic, the familiar and the uncanny. Drawing from biomorphic forms and natural phenomena, she reconfigures these references into speculative objects that defy easy categorisation. Through the use of neon fur, synthetic surfaces, and an exaggerated material excess, her sculptures oscillate between attraction and repulsion, playfulness and unease.

Her practice extends beyond static sculpture into moving image and audio work, where performance and video become tools for activating and expanding the narrative potential of her work. Often inserting herself into these filmic spaces, she explores the performativity of the sculptural object, constructing immersive environments in which humour, absurdity, and the eerie converge. Installed in dialogue, her sculptures and videos generate dynamic, affective spaces that blur the boundary between the real and the surreal.

Jones’ work is deeply informed by queerness, not only in its aesthetic sensibilities—softness, excess, camp—but in its refusal of fixed meaning. By subverting conventional taxonomies of form, material, and function. Her practice gestures toward new modes of relation and world-building.
